My sabbatical is coming to a close and it has been so good for many reasons, but I have missed my friends terribly!! I miss knowing what is happening in your lives so please reach out and send me an update if you can and/or join our Zoom this Sunday!
I am back a bit early from my break because I have some news . . . and it's not great. It's not as bad as it could be, but it is still pretty scary.
Let's do a really quick 30 minute Zoom on Sunday, February 16th at 10am:
If you cannot make the Zoom, feel free to send me a message.
This new and improved chocolate hummus recipe was created to boost consumption of walnuts for their myriad health benefits.

Ingredients:
· 1 15 oz can or 1 ½ cups chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans)
· 1 cup raw walnuts
· 1 cup medjool dates, soaked in warm water
· 1/2 cup cocoa powder
· 1/4+ cup unsweetened plant milk
· 1 teaspoon vanilla
1. Lightly drain chickpeas. Any leftover aquafaba will make your hummus more velvety.
2. Add all ingredients to blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Scrape down the sides and blend again. If it is too thick, add a tablespoon of milk at a time until it reaches the desired consistency.
3. Spoon into a serving dish and serve as a dip or spread.
Ideas: Eat with strawberries, sliced apples, bananas, or on whole grain toast. I have also added a scoop to my oatmeal and YUM!
